I quit a major cellphone provider company today without a 2 week notice. It was a retail sales associate position I got a few months ago. Reasons were due to someone saying they have all the classic covid symptoms and not getting tested and still being allowed to work. I understand medical privacy so I didn’t push and just left. My boss was unfazed by the situation and didn’t seem to care more so than look at me as the inconvenience. I live with someone who is at high risk so I can’t risk being there. Are there any legal repercussions I can face for doing this? I have never quit a job without a 2 week notice so I’m just a little uneasy about the entire situation. Also I am dealing with a weird form of embarrassment and shame I am tryin to shake off even though I did what was right for my health and family.
