So, a little background: worked for a company for over 2 years as main receptionist/HR Admin/Payroll and recently had an offer elsewhere to be an office manager.
I put in my two weeks notice because our handbook states that vacation time is earned and any leftover will be paid out if you’ve given said notice.
I had 5 days approved before I put in notice but ended up quitting before using it.
Now they’re trying to say vacations are pro-rated even though that’s not what the handbook says and wrote me a check for 3.6 days. I know I can’t force them to do anything but just curious how much water it holds if I point it out in their own literature.
