Let US be the change we all deserve :)

TL;DR – Employers are hurting. NOW is the time to use memes to make real change Since the pandemic, many of us have had our eyes opened wide to the unfairness and corruption rampant all around us. We have seen inflation reach highs not seen since the great depression (yes, I know it was higher back in 1980, but we changed the metrics used to make it seem better than it is 'lol'). We have seen rental home prices go through the roof to the point of unsustainability. We are seeing big businesses struggling with global supply chain issues but are still posting record profits, but most of important of all, we are seeing communities come together to spread the truth, which is absent on your main stream news stations and websites. Since the pandemic, many of us have had our eyes opened wide to the unfairness and corruption rampant all around us.

Due to stimulus checks and unemployment provided by our 'beneficent' government, we are collectively seeing that we are all worth more than slave wages doing backbreaking or mentally draining jobs. Have you noticed the amount of fast food chains and department stores trimming their hours or services due to labor shortages? I have. Some local chains have been drastically increasing their starting wages to stay alive.

NOW is the time to force the change in our system while they are beaten and bruised. If you have been on reddit over the past year, some subreddits have already taken it upon themselves to force the change that our officials and leadership will not provide and they are WINNING. They are winning on the backs of memes and shitposting. I will let you deduce what I am talking of for yourselves.

If we really want the change, we need to take a stand and not allow businesses and employers to take advantage of us. Right NOW is when they are at their most vulnerable. All it takes is to understand your worth and stand your ground. I understand that it is hard to turn down a job, or to leave a toxic environment, but employers NEED us to work for them; not the other way around. We are in a unique position in that almost all businesses are looking for workers desperately, but have not warmed to the idea of paying or treating them properly. If they refuse to change, fine, let them fail. If we allow them to take advantage, they will continue as long as they are able. Leadership will not help us since they need an obedient workforce that doesn't probe too deep or ask the right questions.

Let's make the change by violently posting relatable memes and upvoting the shit out of the ones we believe in and make the front page of reddit each and every day. Let's continue to get the visibility from the masses and force the change that we deserve. If enough people get eyes on a real vision (not some rogue interview lol) and can have the same daily struggles, change is inevitable.

Finally, don't just accept the status quo and complain about it to the choir. Understand your value and there is always a better job out there. Let's show people that we are not slaves to 'this is how it's always been'. This is the first time in history that people can come together from all over the world on a forum and force people in power to either make a change or resist and fail.

If this post was long and unintelligible, its probably because I have the writing skills of a 5th grader, but I see way too much here complaining about the status quo and not enough changing the status quo.
