Where I work we were told straight up by the head of HR they'd be using this as the primary method to acquire talent during record attrition. It's kinda messed up because in a sense they're saying 'please leave the company if you think you deserve more'.

(As a sidenote, “I'm only pretty sure” when attrition rates get high – the company banks on some loss of historical reference for incoming employees. How would a new employee know if a work place is broken if everyone else is also new? Anyways~)

I'm sick of corporations being the new Monarchies. We didn't win the universal lottery of being on Earth just to work for peanuts imo.
