My cashier drawer was exactly $100 short. Boss claims he watched camera footage saw nothing. Now im on an instant final writeup and might be let go.

I'm beyond insulted because it's obvious they're treating it as if I stole money. Over the past 20 years I've operated cash registers in 7 different jobs and locations. In that time my end of the day till has never been has never been more than a few cents off. And let's be completely honest if I were going to steal money and risk getting fired at my job I would have taken a lot more than a $100. Give me a break. I haven't been comfortable with the way they handle the cash registers since I started working here. To login to the revister you enter a ridiculously simple 2 digit code. I haven't been comfortable with the way they handle the cash registers since I started working here. To login to the revister you enter a ridiculously simple 2 digit code. On top of that everybody knows everybody else's code because it's mentioned out loud by the manager et cetera. Or if someone's on lunch or on a break and and a person needs to use their registered they tell them the code so they can hop on. You're also not allowed to count down your own drawer it is handled by the manager or the shift leader. Your . Drawers also started by a manager or a shift leader which is where I imagine them state could have been made as well. The only thing you're allowed to do is make a drop in the safe if you are registered register gets above $200 extra cash in the drawer. This is the 1st day that I had to work a shift long enough to incorporate a lunch and I'm pretty sure that's when this occurred and I have suspicions that my coworker either made some mistake on my drawer took the money or purposely messed up Is account in order to get me fired. The reason I'm suspicious of this coworker is previously when I had rung up a 90 year old man for wine and I checked his ID, He went to the car Then returned 10 minutes later To grab another bottle he had forgotten and since I had just dust checked his ID and didn't deem necessary to check again. She told the manager that this happened and I got written up for it. She has also made many snide remarks toward me and in general is not very pleasant toward me.
