Like a literal child

I was just reminded of this. At a former job I has a coworker we will call T. T was a pretty good employee. His biggest fault was just being a little slow on side projects and sometimes getting distracted in side conversations. But he knew how to do his job, didn't call in, etc. He was late one week a couple of times. Not majorly late. 5/10 minutes each time. I think he had to share a car that week or something. (This was several years ago.) Our store manager made him stand in the corner as punishment. I wasn't there that day or I'd have gone off. I found out about it way later and felt it would be more awkward for T to bring it up then. I wish I had. I actually liked that manager but all he did was talk on the phone and then…
