I work in contracting and we get paid out a twice a year bonus based on changeability. In going through the last half year we switched time systems so to see the changeability one of our leaders was manually merging the data and missed hours on one of our employees. We had them check and he caught it. So messages to the VP he had his admin look at it.
Admin responds he has charged 5 hours to training I need you to confirm this time before we pay out but he has met the changeability requirements.
My response with VP on thread, “So both he and I have overlapping PTO for the next 3 weeks. He is a new manager I’m pretty sure it was new manager training, but will confirm. BUT You are telling me he meets the bonus requirements and you want hold up his payment on a technicality. This was our screw up let us not delay making this right and him whole by compounding our mistake with unimportant busy work.”
I’m waiting for the VP to ping me Monday and be like you could have been less of a dick about it but you are right.
