I had a closing shift today, depending on who I’m closing with we usually leave early or stay until the time we’re supposed to be off. I’m usually flexible with each mangers and how they close the store. Anyways, it was time to leave and we went to go grab our things. I checked my phone and my bf said he was running a few minutes late. When I told her that she got so upset with me and told me “why don’t you keep your phone on you, why couldn’t you tell me this earlier? Where is the communication?” I then apologize, quickly because I felt really bad and she continues to make me feel bad by telling me “I won’t leave you here, but I have to go home to my dogs.” I apologized again and then she continues to tell me that she has a shift in the morning and that she needs to get home and that she wakes up early, like 3 hours before her shift in the morning to walk her dogs. She then says “I don’t mean to be rude and I mean it’s none of my business but why would he do this to you? And make you wait? It’s not safe outside.” My boyfriend isn’t late to pick me up everyday so I don’t know why she was saying stuff about my relationship all of a sudden. (I never talk about my relationship in a bad way either and I’m always super nice to her.) I’m just listening to her and telling her if she’s really in a hurry I don’t mind waiting by myself. But then she kept telling me, “no no I’ll wait with you. I don’t really have a choice.” But proceeded to talk horribly about me. She said “it’s not right you know? What he does.” And the only reason why I mentioned I would wait on my own was because she made me feel really bad about waiting with me and I knew she was in such a hurry to get home to her dogs!
