So my I noticed that my last pay check was $14 short and I contacted my payroll team about it, who directed me to the benefits team. Benefits team then tells me that this is a mandatory deduction for LTD?? I asked them to opt me out of the LTD benefits and they said they can’t. I’m new to ON, Canada and have no idea if it’s legal to have a mandatory deduction from my paycheck?
