Looking for a full-time position

Disclaimer: I'm venting, don't get your panties in a wad Reddit. Today it finally hit me that I need to start searching for opportunities to work full-time at the dead-end company I work for. I make $18.50 and work 30 hours a week, yet I still can't afford rent, bills, and groceries between me and my spouse. I find that ridiculous. Both of us live frugally as it is. I've put off the idea of full-time for so long. I know how tiring it can be, and when I get home from an 8-hour shift I have no energy to do anything.

No energy for chores, for hobbies, and definitely no energy to be looking for other dead-end jobs. Without a degree I know my choices are limited, and I can't afford to take a lower-paying job elsewhere. My mental health suffers working 40 hours a week, but in my mind the alternative is lettingy family suffer, and I won't allow that.

My spouse goes to school full-time and I don't want to push them to work. They need to focus on their scholastic endeavors without feeling too overwhelmed. It just sucks that I've avoided the dreaded 40-hour weeks and now I realize it was inevitable. I'm going in the meat grinder anyway.

We were born as bottom feeders to help the 1% stay afloat. I wonder if that will ever change.
