Hi y'all,
Long time lurker here. I live in England.
So I have a little situation at work (duh). My company is going through a major restructure right now and the ivory tower is pressuring to begin applying the changes, although, our staffing levels are severely inadequate to even function properly as is due to loss of half the workforce which was supplemented with an army of temporary workers.
I'm wearing invisalign braces and have an appointment next week, I specifically chose dentist near my work location so I don't have to make a fuss and just use my lunch time to go for the visits.
My work rota has been published yesterday and I immediately informed the person in charge of my work location preference as well as about my dentist visit next week.
It's not that huge of a deal as I'd be 30-60 min late max. As the visit may take up to 30 minutes + 30 minute commute to the workplace.
I've received an email from the person in charge today and they have not mentioned anything about my dentist appointment, only about the location preference.
Now, I do not intend on rescheduling or cancelling the appointment as its a big one (final consultation and possibly end of treatment, yay).
In case the person in charge pressures me to cancel my dentist, is there anything I can do or reach out to someone if they decide to pursue any action I.e. warning etc.
The company decided to make huge changes and lost more than half the workforce, with more using up their holiday and leaving eventually (we are talking people who stayed for 10-15 years). We've been kept in the dark since February and even today nobody knows how we're going to work the week after. Its been extremely stressful for all involved and I intend to stay with the company for at least 8-10 months more as I have certain plans for my future.
Any help would be great!
