Looking unionize my dental office (Ontario)

They have been good to be but I can't help the nagging feeling that I know we could be getting better pay and benefits (only 'Benefit' we have is free dental). Here in Ontario we have the ODAA (Ontario Dental Assistants Association) but they are only good if you get into any legally trouble. They don't set the wages for DA's. There is a wage chart but almost all dentists don't go by this a under pay the staff with rough working conditions. If I try to start a union at my office would my employer get upset with me and fire me? Do I have any legal repercussions?
