Lost all respect for my manager

So about a year ago I was approached asking if I’d be willing to switch to 12 hour rotating day shifts starting at 6am from my manager. I hesitantly agreed because I always have done swing my whole life due to having insomnia. He claimed if things didn’t work out let him know. Since then I have been asked to supervise projects, including a move that we were supposed to stop doing business for a few days but due to me and the supervisor we never had to. I’ve covered for other departments many times and they all have given praise to him for having me help the other departments. Well, my insomnia is back hardcore and after a month of barely any sleep I ask if I could go back to swing. Hard to sleep when you fall asleep naturally at 4am and have to be up at 5am.…

Hard to sleep when you fall asleep naturally at 4am and have to be up at 5am. His response, “well swingshift is full, I don’t know how to help you”. Despite the swingshift supervisor saying he has spots open for me to come back.

Never again will I go above and beyond to help management.
