Lunch breaks are company time

I was thinking about this cause I just got a new job that pays me for the whole time I’m there. It got me really pissed thinking about my old job where I had to clock out for my 30 minute lunch break. As if this brief time where I desperately try to both refuel my body and work up the energy to keep doing a job I hated is equivalent to me being at home or doing something I actually enjoy. Like working for someone else’s business is a gift and not a requirement for surviving and an obstacle between you and the things you actually enjoy doing. Sorry for the rant, but I’m tired of the idea that a shit job is a privilege that we should be thankful for.
