So I worked in an Apple Store for 4 years. The year we received the infamous HomePod. We were in charge of promoting it by playing music and presenting it to the customers.
However : we were supposed to promote the music that was trendy at the time (so the worst of the worst)
My managers were always breaking my balls when I was shifted there, saying I was playing “unfriendly” music
(I was playing some Rolling Stones tunes, BB King, Queen, Motörhead sometimes …)
That bitch of a manager was always breaking my balls in particular “oh you should change it, rock is making people scared you know”
So one day , august 2019, I was shifted there, and I started to play tool last album
Of course that bitch came immediately and put on a face that you makes when you smell like shit whenever she heard the music being played.
She asked me “stop this and play what’s number one on iTunes”
Me : “that’s what I’m doing”
Her :”no this is not family friendly, and it’s not trendy”
Me : “what you call not family friendly is called Fear Inoculum by tool, and it’s currently number one on every platforms”
Her : “it’s not”
Me : (with a big smile) “yes… it is” (showing her the charts proving my points)
Her : “oh ok you wanna play it this way ? You think you smart”
Me : I’m
Not smarter, but one can assume by reading the chart that tool is being played more than Taylor swift new record, therefore : it is the most popular thing to play 🙂
A couple of days later, she asked to talk to me in private, saying I was rude and that my behavior was inappropriate
So the next weeks : I played everytime she was there “prison Sex” by tool
Just to make her angrier
