Manager Completely Cleared My Schedule because of Off Request

I just started working at a small business. Not even for 3 weeks. Money has been fine. Thursday I received a call from my Culinary School about setting up an interview with an instructor on Tuesday and a MANDATORY meeting on Monday for the interview. I put in the request off for Mon & Tues on Friday because that’s as about as advanced notice as I could give them. I requested Tuesday first then Monday. Manager sends a long text message in a groupchat saying “Requests off need to be made 2 weeks in advance. I’ve already made the schedule and I’m not remaking it. Get someone to cover your shift.” Manager approves Monday shift but denies Tuesday. Schedule was not posted so I couldn’t access it to see if I needed someone to cover my shift. Schedule was not posted so I couldn’t access it to see if I needed someone to cover my shift. I find out (Friday) that schedules get made for the week and get posted on Sundays. I talked to a manager about the situation as well.

Basically, I’m stuck waiting on the schedule to post to see if I need someone to cover it. Today comes around and I find out that my schedule from Monday-Saturday is CLEARED. I dont work any day until Sunday which is unusual because I’ve basically been working everyday but 1-2 days.

I don’t know if this was some kind of attempt to teach me a lesson or something but Imm tired of managers being petty about stuff like that. I told him during the interview I was planning to attend Culinary School. Playing with my money in attempt to teach me a lesson is bogus. And this has happened to me multiple times before. This is why I dread going to work.

TLDR: Manager was being petty because I requested off for an important meeting with Culinary Instructor and gave me no hours the week of my meeting.
