Manager forcing us all back into the office 2 days a week? Heck, no.

After working from home full-time since March 2020, the new CEO of the company I work for decided that the office is too empty for their liking and that the ‘hybrid working’ policy is being too generous with people only popping in once or twice a month when needed. So from next month, they expect all employees to be in the office at least 2 days a week. I have a health issue that causes me constant fatigue and severe chronic pain, and live a 1-hour commute (1.5 miles on foot + 45 minutes by bus each way) away from the office. Every time I go in, it drains me to the point I can’t function and need to take time off sick the next day. I have worked for this company (UK-based) for 5+ years, which means they can’t fire me without just cause. If they start making my life difficult after this, I can – and will – sue. Let’s see what they do now.
