First time ranting thanks for listening. I’ve been at a job for a little over two months. Honestly it’s a sweet gig up until my manager told me he was being promoted because his team was the best in the nation. No surprise there, he’s a great manager. I was weary but held out hope the new guy wouldn’t be trash. Then on our first call when he introduced himself he called himself a stickler. Not sure why anyone would willingly refer to themselves that way. Red flag. I had a conversation with my og manager yesterday in which I brought up concerns and he told him I didn’t feel like I was performing well. He told me that my total hours were low but I produced great work. Four hours later I get an email from my new manager threatening to fire me for not doing a good job. He used the term “separate employment” and I lost it and told him I wanted just that. I knew it in my gut I wasn’t going to be able to work for this new man but I didn’t expect the huge discrepancy in opinion of my work and value.
