I work somewhere with hourly and salaried employees. In our handbook it says we are all entitled to an hour long, paid break each day. My manager (who is new) asked if we have always had that. When I said yes, she said “well that might change, that doesn’t work for me”. When I explained that all employees are entitled to this, she said “yeah, salaried ones”.
So…great to know that the break I need everyday might be taken out from under me. Also great to know that she doesn’t value us as much as the “real” salaried employees.
