Two jobs ago I worked in a small office, and our offices were divided. Due to my abilities they really pushed me towards the new section they were building, which took place in January 2020.
I was the only guy on the team, which I am used to I have no issues with. The newest “manager” came in and I could tell she had a disconnect with me.
When the pandemic took place, I was one of those who was furloughed. It really pissed me off given the amount of work that I had put in. When it came time to “return to the office”, I conveniently had no interest and working with her.
I now have a position which rivals her role. How’s that for “being assertive”?
