Manager: “Your employer gave you a job, and he gave you a reward for that job. Be grateful.”

My job isn't something I'm grateful for… It's something I do so me and my wife could eat and live under a roof. A paycheck isn't a reward for my work. Awards may, or may not be given, a paycheck after a month of work is DESERVED. This notion of them being gracious by giving you a job is ridiculous. They need us to keep the company rolling, and pay us just enough so we don't need to steal office supplies or collect money under the counter. I am not thanking shit. Pay me for my work and count your lucky stars that there isn't a major revolt by your workers.
