trust me, i am very against giving it to the man. but i am very upset by some of the things that i have found.
to keep it short, i applied to a certain position in order to gain experience in a new field and to possibly apply to further education in something i genuinely care about.
the recruiters' company was offering “20/hr upon conversion.”
i interviewed, accepted the offer, and was curious afterwards.
i saw a new posting on indeed that said “[position], $19-26/hr”
what is the recruiter gaining out of this by offering a job for a set amount, but the range from the actual job posting of the company is for so much more? the difference between 20/hr and 26/hr is almost thousands across a 40/hr work week in a full calendar year. i also would not be getting benefits from the “probationary period” of 6 months. i don't know what to do.
i understand the situation, and $20/hr is a lot for this field especially with no experience and going into this for my passion, but if I applied directly to the company, i could be making more.
any advice is appreciated, and i apologize for anything i have left out. i would be more than happy to go into further detail.
