So i work at this retail store have been working there since February, we are having a meeting next week. This is my second meeting with the company and im scheduled to come at 7am-8am and come back at 4:45 to close. In the first meeting i was scheduled to come at 6am , where i asked what i should be doing and they were surprised that i didnt know, im a cashier so idk what to really do in the back since the meeting would start at 8 but i was told to help out.They gave me a handful of tasks and i was just standing there waiting for instructions as they had nothing for me to do for hours…. Anyways the meeting is paid. But on the last meeting not even half the employees showed up… and i know half of the ppl arent going to show up for this one either… i dont wanna wake up at 6 am to be told the stores stats…. but when i asked my manager he said it was mandatory yet alot of the employees that have been there longer than me scoffed and mentioned how they werent going….. but yet the new hires and i are expected to? it’s kinda bullshit
edit: forgot to mention, but it’s an update/employee appreciation meeting, and unless it comes with a raise idc
