Everything that I’ve looked into says this is illegal, but just wanted to verify. I work as tech to install security systems. We have a mandatory inventory and training meeting every week on Thursday’s, from 8-11:30 that is not paid. Are there any steps I should be taking for this. I believe I am a W2 employee, only been there 3 weeks and honestly can’t remember what tax form I filled out, which I’m sure that matters in this context, but just curious if I should be doing or saying anything. It’s a small groups of only 7 employees, so I hate to ruffle any feathers being so new, but overall just feels shitty to have to wake up so early for this crap without compensation.
