I've been working for a rehab facility for the past 7 months. My first paycheck half of it was delayed without reasoning. A few months later my coworkers and my paychecks were delayed for about a month. I've heard they're behind on rent on the building and the houses we let the clients stay in. The past few months I was informed that the company is going to merge with a bigger company. Two weeks ago my boss was laid off but the ceo is telling everyone he just up and quit which wasn't true. My boss texted me saying that when I'm ready to look for another job let him know and he will give me an excellent referral. The ceo was supposed to show up today to my job with the ceo of the bigger company. The ceo of my job backed out today and it's just the ceo and the HR for the bigger company here. I'm also being told from my supervisor that there's going to be a ton of changes and reconstruction but she wouldn't go into detail. Also there's going to be an email going out tomorrow. Does this sound like a lay off ?
