Maybe unpopular opinion, but I think HR people should be unionized too.

I know this sub has a lot of angst towards HR people and to a large extent, rightly so. But HR people, like others are employees as well and are subject to the same issues other employees face. To a large extent, management uses HR as the “fall guy” for their decisions where HR mostly doesn't have any control over. HR usually just gets told what to do and they are the ones who have to execute the “dirty” work. HR has to do it, even if they don't agree with management decisions. They take shit from employees and from management alike. Now there are HR people who I believe enjoy watching others suffer (I have experienced them personally), but I am hesitant to lump everyone in the same box. I have seen HR people get yelled at, unceremoniously terminated, be subject to redundancies etc. just like other employees. Maybe…

I have seen HR people get yelled at, unceremoniously terminated, be subject to redundancies etc. just like other employees. Maybe I am unaware of the technicalities but I believe HR people would also benefit from unionization.
