We have 3 working adults and are being evicted because our landlord changed us from a 1 month to a 6 month lease while increasing the cost per month to around $2,000 for a house without working AC meaning we'd owe $12,000 while my mom has to feed my other 3 siblings (i feed myself so i dont use up food at home). To pile things on, we're being sued for unpaid medical debt while having around $550,000 in medical debt in the household with zero way to repay it. We can barely afford food and gas. All of this just has me thinking about how fucked the US is as a country. “how dare you get saved from life threatening illness/injury. you owe us more money than you can realistically pay in a lifetime and will get sued if you can't pay up.” if this isn't straight up class warfare idk what is.
