So I've been dealing with extreme pain for two or three weeks and have told my boss about it. At that time she got COVID and I had to reschedule my appointment to fill in for her when she was off for five days. I called in because the pain was so bad I couldn't walk. I went to the ER, the next day for two appointments. All are telling me to rest, and each doctor is doing more additional tests and I might have cancer or a cyst. I have doctor notes. I've been in contact with my boss on all of it.
I do live in South Texas, so I know it's an at will state but can they fire you for being sick and having a doctor's note?
She tried to claim I could have went to the doctor sooner but when? When she was out with COVID because all the techs had it and we're still working with it? They didn't follow CDC guidelines and these people are working in elderly people homes. ( I was very upset about that)
