They “caught me on camera” at the end of my shift. The break table is near the exit and it is full of supplies for employees (sugar,salt,plates,forks). I grabbed a handful of plastic spoons without even thinking, put them in my pocket, clocked out and left.
I work very hard, I forget to take my breaks every day, have never used anything from the table before, but that day I had food to munch on in the car after work.
So I apparently stole $0.20 from this company ran by snobby siblings who make $8million/yr and the suspension lost me a lot of money. I felt like a whole ass loser…
The company is going downhill and there are many other instances of hostility, corruption, even screaming matches or creepy secrets between workers but that's another story. I have a very important position at this place and I'm shocked by how people treat each other. I filled out many job applications during my suspension, got an amazing call back, and I'm anxiously writing my resignation letter tomorrow ;P
