Mini vent

I honestly believe that a majority of this country is gullible and naïve to the ideas that corporations have spewed since the very beginning of “work”. In the sense that we are told to believe that “hard work pays off” when in fact it does not. Being a workaholic gets you no where but time-broke and exploited. That we are not worth more that the current offer in interviews. That it is our fault why we can't afford housing or health insurance. I loath the people who defend these ideals. I always want to start fight with these people but they will always counter with the BS that is fed to them. I hate the argument that you should not live above your means, but the costs of essentials are going up and you're still paid the same amount. Mind-boggling isn't it? I promise you it is not radical thinking…

I promise you it is not radical thinking that you deserve a roof over your head and food on the table or that wages should be increased. My boss told us today that in order for us to receive a pay raise, we must provide a list of duties that equate the wage we want. Imagine having to prove why you deserve more. It is ridiculous.
