I think the rage this sub has aimed at capitalism is misplaced. I'm not trying to start guff. Just hear me out. I believe people weren't created to be governed. That society, especially society in large metropolitan areas acts as a sort of terrarium for humans. I think the root of the problem with any and every economic structure is the presence of government. I believe communism and capitalism can both be beautiful things on a small scale without government interference. People like myself, who enjoy work and feeling accomplished should be able to do so without half my wages being taken with threat of violence. I would be happy owning a small sustainment farm with my wife and family. Those that don't wish to work should be able to form small communes and survive as you may. The Branch Davidians are a prime example of what would have been a successful commune. Unfortunately, the government had other plans. I don't believe any economic structure is inherently bad on a small scale. I believe every economic structure implemented on a national scale inherently breeds corruption. Basically, what I'm peddling is a different outlook to our collective situation. I believe everything we do, and every interaction we have should be on a voluntary basis. Just my two cents.
