Moved to Arkansas to escape rising cost of living… Found out that its legal for companies to refuse breaks.

The job hunt struggle has been real, and so me and my wife have been scrambling to find incomes. My wife moreso than me due to my job experience vs hers. Well… she just started a job at a convenience store just to realize that they don't offer breaks or lunches. Eight hours a day. Fast paced, busy work. No breaks, eat your lunch whenever you can. At least they give you bathroom breaks so that you don't piss yourself like an animal. I thought “damn… surely this can't be legal”, so I looked it up through the Arkansas Labor Board. There is NO legal mandate that employers must allot any sort of breaks. At all. Instead, the labor board's website only mentions what sort of breaks employers “typically” give. Horseshit. Luckily she already has a bakery job lined up.
