My wife is a preschool teacher at a private christian school with a huge church attached to it. The church is in an expensive area of very wealthy people. They get huge donations. However, my wife makes $16/hr in a state with a $12.30 minimum wage. She loves her job and won't quit. Luckily I make enough to support the family, so her income is more for savings. But really? $16/hr? WTF.
My son on the other hand just got his first job at a pizza ship. He makes $12.30/hr plus tips. The tips are really nice and he ends up making $18-$19/hr. Does not compute.
