tl;dr regional manager complains about me to my manager. Manager rips him a new one.
I'm a customer service specialist and there was a problem on a construction site with our wares. This country's market is extremely difficult and demanding and I had to take it over after only 3 months at the job while not speaking that language properly and an asshole colleague who didn't care about training me.
I worked incredibly hard to improve my knowledge of the language and to figure everything out asap without proper guidance.
Now, almost a year later, the construction site. I got the full blow, even though I'm not the one to blame for supply chain issues and drivers not finding the site because the customer doesn't send us clear addresses. The sales rep went completely off on me. Then apparently went to his manager who then blindly believed all the rep said and put it in mail for MY manager.
My manager was furious… at the other manager, that is, for going behind my back bitching about me instead of helping me find solutions or giving me clear feedback.
My manager is planning a meeting with him to rip him a new one and asked if I wanted to talk to him too. I'll pass, if that's how he deals with the situation and talks about me, I don't have anything to say to him. My manager reassured me she has my back 100%
There are assholes all around, but good managers make your job so much easier.
