My boss asked for my advice on how to get our employees to be more efficient.

I work at a home remodeling company. We’ve started to lose a lot of money as the result of not being able to complete jobs 100% first try. My boss asked me to brainstorm this weekend suggestions, and the honest answer is that he doesn’t invest enough in his employees (bad pay structure, long hours, lack of training, etc). The thing is, he already believes he’s creating tremendous opportunity for workers. He hasn’t had an applicant in 90 days for a $15/hr carpentry position (17 with experience). I just don’t know if it’s worth me actually having this really difficult conversation with my boss, knowing that I’m trying to leave the company ASAP for these reasons, and that he probably won’t change his mind anyway. I do feel an obligation to my coworkers to at least try for their sake. I could use some advice on this. How much of…

I could use some advice on this. How much of my own energy is it worth trying to change this guys mind? He’s almost 60, and I’m 26 and he just generally doesn’t seem to respect me for this reason, which is why I’m confused that he’d even ask for my opinion.
