My boss asked if it would be possible for me to work from home with a kidney stone

While there are a lot of benefits to work from home capabilities, this also made me realize employers may try to push boundaries even harder when you need to use time off. I asked him if he’s ever had a kidney stone and he hasn’t. I tried to explain the level of excruciating pain I’m in and that I don’t think he wants me to work on heavy painkillers, and I can only hope he is as understanding as he says he is. Not to mention me being up almost all night in the hospital… Now I’m supposed to be resting, on-and-off in some of the worst pain in my life, and instead I’m worried if he really believes me, or if I am going to be seen as a slacker for not wanting to take my laptop to bed with me while I writhe in pain and wait to…
