I live/work in California at a restaurant.
I was waiting for my manager to finish my checkout and give me my tips so that I could clock out and go home. During this time I am still running food and drinks to tables.
When I go to grab my tips from his office I ask for his card to clock out and he said he already clocked me out. He told me that I was “milking the clock” and that next time it would be a write up. He claimed an unknown amount for my tips as me, and threw away my clock out slip (which i always save bc they will adjust my hours frequently).
I am fed up with this shit and would like to know what action i can take.
