My boss completely ignored my availability, what do I do?

Almost 2 months ago, I started a retail job at a fairly expensive sports wear brand. So far I’ve loved the job, but scheduling seems impossible. Mid-July – On Dayforce (a portal for scheduling) I requested time off for 1) a doctor’s appointment and 2) the show I’m directing at night for one particular week. 8/3 – The AM that does scheduling told me she would be rejecting those requests in Dayforce since I requested them using vacation time (I was confused with the website and didn’t know how to ask for time off correctly). She told me to send an email with the times I needed off instead because she didn’t want me using my vacation time for things other than vacation. Later that night – I sent an email requesting 8/18 off in the morning for a doctors appointment, 8/30-9/3 off (only after 5pm) for a show I’m…

Later that night – I sent an email requesting 8/18 off in the morning for a doctors appointment, 8/30-9/3 off (only after 5pm) for a show I’m directing, and 9/4 all day for the last day of the show.

8/9 – I never got a response to that email (still haven’t) and the new schedule came out. They scheduled right over my doctor’s appointment (scheduled 9am-3:30pm). I emailed them letting them know they scheduled over the time off they had asked me to send them.

8/10 – I never got a response and I was afraid that they wouldn’t fix the problem, so I rescheduled my doctor’s appointment (which was very upsetting because that specific service is hard to get an appointment for). I emailed them to let them know I rescheduled and would be able to make the shift. I never got a response, and they didn’t acknowledge it in person either.

Today (8/21) – The schedule for the week of 8/29-9/4 comes out. They scheduled directly over my time off requests on 9/1 (scheduled 4-10pm) and 9/4 (scheduled 12:30-5:30pm). I just emailed them reminding them that I sent them an email with the times I needed off at their request, and that I would not be able to make those shifts.

I don’t know what to do. I’m only 20, so I’m fairly new to the “work world”, if you will. I’m afraid that I’ll either get fired or have to quit if I can’t show up for those shifts. I’m also getting paid to direct this show, and they’re depending on me to be there for the show obviously, so I cannot miss it. I’m afraid I won’t get a response, or I’ll be looked down upon for being so needy. I’d really love some advice from those who’ve dealt with this issue and found a solution. (I also deal with pretty bad anxiety so this situation has made me an internal wreck).
