My boss has told me that I can’t take off work to take the LSAT, that I need to change my school schedule next semester to fit my work schedule, and that if I can’t get 24 hours a week minimum, they’re gonna fire me.

Working part time this summer to keep my head above water at a chain supermarket. It’s way better than other places I’ve worked, but it’s still back breaking labor as a stocker. Anyways, they have been desperate for people to work, as lots of people have either quit or been promoted. We are being asked to do more and more and more every day and aren’t compensated for the extra work at all. Yet when I ask my manager if I can reduce my hours to working every weekend (our busiest days by far) as long as they need me so I can focus on school, they have thrown a fit. All while complaining that people just don’t want to work and that we are severely understaffed. Jeez, I wonder why??
