The only reason I got my $250 sign-on bonus is because another employee told me about it when I first started.
So I brought it up to management and it was a lot of work, but eventually, after 3 months, they finally put it in my paycheck.
A few weeks ago, we got a new employee and after I got to know her a bit, I told her about it. I warned her about the experience I had and how hard it was to get management to actually give it to me. I told her to just keep pushing until they give it to her.
TBH I think she deserves it even more than I do because she’s a single mom.
My boss found out and got upset with me. She told me that I should not be telling anyone about the sign-on bonus.
Now we’re expecting another new employee soon, and I definitely want to tell them about it, but I don’t want to risk getting in trouble with my boss.
What do you guys think I should do?
Thanks!
