I work in Fashion and my boss and me got into a fight today and I told her that her way of managing is toxic. She yelled at me like a crazy person for asking a small question and I told her that she needs to relax that we are being overworked and are underpaid. I got in huge trouble for yelling at her but she honestly deserved it because I don’t allow to be spoken to that way.
We’ve also had a lot of employees quit in our office so it’s hilarious that she told me I need to respect her as a manager and that her way of doing things works. If your way of management works you wouldn’t have a new employee every two weeks.
I was also embarrassed because she degraded me in front of the whole office and in front of a new girl who started today ! I went to the bathroom to calm down but I almost quit, then remembered I’m doing this job for the experience and won’t let her ruin having the company name on my resume. Glad I stood up for myself but making employees cry is not okay especially when they are clearly overwhelmed.
