My teammate asked our CEO, of a multi-state-mega-cannabis-corp, for a chance at higher pay for harder working teams and individuals. Basically, an incentivized raise, and he completely dismissed it.
Later, in a private convo with the Director of Operations at our facility, I tell him I’m proud of her and others for speaking up about such tough topics to the CEO.
He tells me they went about it wrong, and he’s going to “coach” them tomorrow. He says, “I just don’t see where this entitlement comes from”.
I’m just SHOCKED.
Last Friday our payroll glitched and everyone got paid a day late. SEVERAL people came up to me, panicked that they wouldn’t make it to next week. Some scared they wouldn’t even have gas to make it home.
I was in tears telling him this and he just.. “well it happened to us too.. well at least we still got paid..”
