My boss told me that I care more about my team of workers than the company

And I don't give a shit. I am in middle management I believe my employees deserve to be treated well and earn a living wage. They are a failing company who told me to my face that they would rather they be paid as little as possible and replaced with machines. Looks like a need a new job
