So around the end of May, my wife got Covid, and like a responsible employee I told my boss, and she told me to stay home for a week just in case I catch it. I had some minor symptoms and took tests daily but never came back positive. She never told me she was using my PTO for that week, and when I took my vacation that I had requested time off for in March, I did not receive my usual pay because my PTO balance was negative at that point. I know Texas favors the employers in most cases but I just want to see if anything could be done in my favor.
Edit: I should probably also mention that I am a salaried employee.
