so i work at a daycare as a teacher and literally everywhere, bathroom, break room, hallways etc. there are posters saying DO NOT COME IN IF YOURE SICK. so last night around 10 pm my stomach starts hurting very badly and i start vomiting violently and basically it’s coming from both ends. i end up staying awake all night and by 4 am i have decided that i am going to call out. however, today was the last day before our christmas break and if you didn’t show up you wouldn’t be paid for the break. i’m a teacher so i don’t make much money so getting paid for the break is crucial for my survival. my boss told me to come in anyway and if they feel i need to go home they will send me. so i did just that. i went in, clocked in, and stayed in the bathroom barfing up everything in me. on the way to work i was holding a trash can beside me driving while vomiting. they told me that i needed to send them a doctors note before 5:30 and i sent it to them at 12:15. since then they have ignored my calls and texts and i have no idea if i’m going to get paid or not.
