My boyfriend just walked out of his job and I’m so fucking proud

My boyfriend and I moved to a new city a couple months ago, and he has been trying to get some work in restaurants. He's done all sorts of work in kitchens before. Nothing fancy, but he knows his way around prep work and being a line cook and stuff. The turnover rate at the restaurant he ended up at was nearly 100%. No joke. It seemed like a good fit the first week or so, but I knew that turnover was way too high. He starts coming home more and more stressed out about the toxic environment. His bosses wouldn't figure out how to make his direct deposit work, and they treated him like shit.

Taking stuff out of his hands, creating drama, lying about what he does, making him pick up everyone else's slack, and basically not treating him like a person.

He told them, if you don't fix this environment so that I can just show up, do my work, and go home, I will walk out. His managers said there would be no need for that. Well, the problem wasn't fixed. He came home every day more and more upset that nobody at his workplace would treat him with basic human decency.

He got another job lined up, and he called me and said “I want to fuck them over. I'm going to wait until it's busy as fuck and just walk out.” And that's exactly what he did.

He told them what would happen and he kept his promise. I'm so proud.
