I work at a huge photography company that i just want to completely air the hell OUT. I know how much our higher ups get paid and how they get VIP treatment when we’re slaving away. (Yes, VIP treatment. i’m talking destination meetings, limos, luxury hotels, red carpets, etc.)
we’re the backbone of their company and are constantly drenched in sweat, my joints and back sound like a glow stick cracking (im barely 25), im in constant pain, we don’t get breaks or lunches because they don’t schedule them into our appointment book, we’re held up to impossible – YES, IMPOSSIBLE – standards, we have to lie to customers, we take the fall, and on top of that we aren’t even paid a livable wage…(all of this and i’m a store manager so i’m referring to district, regional, and higher.)
BUT THE HIGHER UPS GET RED CARPET TREATMENT AND HIGH SIX FIGURE SALARIES? FOR DOING WHAT?!
WE LITERALLY CREATE THE PRODUCT THEN SELL IT.
WE DO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
WE DO THE SALES.
WE SHOW OFF THE PRODUCTS.
WE CREATE THE PHOTOGRAPHY.
WE ARE LIVING IN POVERTY.
WE DESERVE BETTER. (BUT AT THE VERY FUCKING LEAST, A LIVABLE WAGE)
