It almost feels bad to say it, but I think that's the Stockholm Syndrome talking. I currently work for an engineering firm that has lost most of their employees over the last 6 months. My last day is, well, soon. I don't want to be specific in any way if I can help it. (TOMORROW BITCHESSSSSSSSSS… technically today but I don't give a fuck).
Anyway, this is all a culmination of years of overworking employees while providing us with inadequate tools to do the job. Somethings wrong? Maybe we'll get on that in a year or two. Oh, Covid happened? here is a shitty work from home system that is super laggy and barely allows you to get the work done.
Wow, you still managed to be really productive with this stupid laggy system and keep the company afloat? Your reward is nothing. Yup, nothing. Now there are whispers of returning to the office full time… no wonder people are quitting. It's either that or the fact that you continue to take on larger projects without any understanding of the systems we use to complete them, and do not offer competitive pay or benefits.
Boomer bosses are so out of touch and useless. Let their companies fail and they retire to whatever the hell they will do. That's all, thank you for listening to my rant.
