My company is cooking the books

I started working for this company about 8 months ago. There is no WFH option, the benefits are garbage, there is no dental, vision, or 401K. We literally do not even have an employee manual. However, I LOVE my boss. She lets me take time off whenever I need, lets me leave early when I have to, and praises me often. However, the CEO is a slimeball.

He refuses to pay subcontractors for work they do for us, but will make sure I bill the customer. He has done many things that have made me question his integrity, but today really took the cake.

My boss asked me why we have so much unapplied cash on the books. I told her because we were incorrectly billing one customer twice each month and we owed them a credit. I created the credits, but they still had paid twice. When I let the customer know, they reached out to the CEO who said it was a mistake. He told me I am never to let customers know when they overpay us.

Here is where it gets bad. Today I was asked to created a fake invoice for tens of thousands of dollars so that we could apply those outstanding cash amounts. I outright refused and the CEO said he would do it himself.

I know how illegal this is, and this is not an isolated incident. I am strongly considering leaving. What are my options here?
