I work in the transportation industry. We use an app for our dispatches and use our company phones to contact the office staff.
I just recieved a text from my dispatch that they want to get rid of the company phones and give us a $50 credit on our pay to use our personal phones. I should also point out that the app we use for dispatch tracks us at all times.
I personally do not feel comfortable with this due to the constant tracking and I believe in having a good work/life separation.
My question is, how would I bring this up with management? This is a pretty good company past this. Thanks
EDIT: thanks for the advice. I am looking into a cheep piece of shit phone and adding a line to my phone plan. It will come out to be less then what my company would be paying. Thanks again for the advice.
